As policies in our country are structured with families in mind, one-person households often face disadvantages. A clear example of this is housing policy. According to the current policy, one-person households are not eligible for benefits tied to the number of dependents and are further disadvantaged in terms of income or other criteria. These disadvantages have become a significant problem, and the demand for improvements in these areas has been particularly strong. One-person households also indicated various needs in the areas of health and care. For instance, they had a significant concern about who would sign medical consent forms when no guardian was available.
