On July 10, before the weekly directors' meeting, KIHASA held a brief ceremony in the meeting room Kyujang to appoint a new head of the Research Planning Unit.

Every year, KIHASA produces over 200 reports, three scholarly journals, and various issue papers and policy materials. It also holds many academic seminars. KIHASA has presented policy agendas aimed at improving people's standards of living, fulfilling its role and duty as a national research institute.
