Visit of Young Russian Scholars under the Korea Invitation Program of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Russia

On October 16, young Russian scholars studying social policies of the Asia-Pacific region visited KIHASA at the Sejong National Research Complex. The visit was part of an invitation program for emerging scholars organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Russia. During their visit, the scholars discussed key current policy issues, including Korea’s vaccine hub strategy, responses to low birth rates and aging populations, and the national health insurance system.
Participants from KIHASA included Acting President Kang Hye-Kyu, Research Planning Unit Head Ha Solleep, Head of the Center for Policy Planning on Low Fertility and Population Aging Hwang Nam-hee, and Associate Research Fellow Baek Juha. On the Russian scholars' side, First Secretary of the Korean Embassy in Russia Park Hye-ja, Senior Researcher Rada from the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia, Senior Researcher Kazaryan Ruben from the Institute of Oriental Studies, and Deputy Head of Department Patachkova Anastasia from the Higher School of Economics participated.
